The Village of Ostrander is located between Delaware and Marysville. This growing community is part of the Buckeye Valley School District and is home to the Scioto Township Fire Department and Township Hall.
The community has an annual fireworks display and classic car show as well as a great place to trick or treat for Halloween. There is a small store located in the village and a mini-mart with gas station and pizza shop on 36 W. The post office is very reliable and has the friendliest employees.
The area is mostly rural with homes that sit on 1 or more acres. There is a small subdivision with a new section currently building. Several acres of land were just split up and sold in the past 2 years with many new builds just off 36 W.
Blues Creek Preserve is located off of Fontanelle Road, which is part of Delaware County Preservation Parks. There is some wooded area to walk but mostly prairie and a large pond.
